One of Nigeria's best known faces on television soaps, Nollywood actor and comedian Sam Loco Efe– died on Sunday, August 7 2011. He was 69.
His death came on the heels of the passing on of another accomplished entertainer, Christy Essien-Igokwe, (the Lady of Songs) on June 30. The entertainment industry is still mourning her.
The late actor’s body was found in his Room 204 while on location in Rapour Hotel in Amaakaohai on Orlu road in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The versatile actor was seen within his group of friends cracking jokes on Saturday night.
A socialite, Efe hailed from Benin, Edo State but speaks Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa fluently.
THE veteran Nollywood actor and comedian has performed on stage and Television for over 47 years, 35 of those years were in the movies. He was a professional to the core and could perform both on stage as well as in front of the camera, something not all artistes are gifted with.
