IN an apparent move to forestall players' mutiny and motivate them for the last Group A game against Canada, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, yesterday paid the Super Falcons a bonus of $2,000 bonus each.
Falcons, two days ago, contemplated taking up NFF officials over unpaid daily camp allowances but Head of Competition, NFF, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed yesterday morning in Dresden, Germany announced a bonus of $2,000 for each of the players.
''Our team lost against Germany but the NFF appreciate their efforts and we are giving the players full match-winning bonus. We hope the team will reciprocate by winning their match against Canada on Tuesday,'' Mohammed said.
However, the mood in Falcons camp is positive as the players overcome the loss to Germany last Thursday night in Frankfurt.
''We have put the losses behind us, the game against Canada is worth winning but we realise that Canada too is the last team in the group’s table so, they will play a very tough game against us,'' Falcons'defender, Faith Ikidi.
