Nigeria's legendary music diva and actress, Christy Essien Igbokwe is dead.
She passed away this morning, Thursday, June 30, 2011. She was 50 years old.
The lady of songs who would have been 51 in November had her first album (Freedom) in 1976 at aged 16 and wedded Edwin Igbokwe three years later.
Information is still sketchy but family sources say She passed away after a brief illness.
She was said to have predicted her death earlier this year,
