Miss Venezuela has won the prestigious Miss World Title this year. The name of the gorgeous lady is Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares, and she won against the 113 contestants from different countries. It was a splendid contest with beauty, brains and glamour all displayed on the same runway, and the winner was ecstatic when her name was announced. She was in tears, but managed to ward them off, for the picture perfect smile, that will go down in History.
It's interesting to note that she had studied at a nunnery for 5 years, and was planning to become a nun. It was actually when she had lost both her parents at a very young age that she had been sent there.
After that, her life took a different turn, as she went on to get a Human Resources degree and then worked with a broadcasting firm. She was thrilled to have won and pledged to work for the betterment of other people.
"Winning means everything to me and I hope to take advantage of being a winner in a productive manner. I'm unbelievably happy to have won and there are some incredible girls. First and foremost want to help people in need", she said in her wining speech.
She wants to work for orphans and wants to help as many people as possible. Having won the competition at the tender age of 21, she has a lot of dreams and hopes and aspirations from the time to come. The runners up were from Philippines and Puerto Rico.
The final event was held in Earls Court in London, and millions of people were viewing it on television as well. This year also marked the 60th anniversary of the contest and was celebrated by the contestants heartily
