The verdict of the Casey Anthony trial has been announced and after 11 hours of deliberation, the jury found Anthony not guilty on counts one through three and guilty on counts four through seven. Counts one through three included first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter.
The counts Casey Anthony was found guilty on involve providing false information to members of law enforcement. Anthony will be sentenced on these counts.
As we reported previously, it was believed that Anthony may have contradicted her own defense. If Anthony did, it appears the jury did not notice.
As the verdict was read and members of the jury confirmed the verdict as correct and accurate, Anthony was seen crying and hugging members of her council, obviously relieved at the outcome of the infamous case.
Casey Anthony had been charged with murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony in 2008.
